Arms of Love Foster Care is a licensing agency contracted by the state of Arizona to work with adoptive, kinship and foster families. Our goal is to develop and maintain open, supportive relationships with foster families who feel called to the mission and ministry of serving hurting children and families with the love of Christ.

We are a ministry of Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries (ABCS), a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. ABCS has seven ministries and one mission: to provide hope and care to hurting children and families through Christ-centered ministries. Through these seven ministries, ABCS serves the full spectrum of Arizona families, from unborn babies to seniors.

How is Arms of Love different?

We believe that the Church is God’s Plan A to care for “the least of these”; that the call for Christians to care for orphans and widows found in James 1:27 is a mandate to His people. We view foster care as a mission field and foster families as missionaries. Foster parents minister in their own homes as they open their hearts to children and care for their varied and often challenging needs.

Opportunities to show the love and hope found in Jesus Christ are endless as families serve children and all those involved in their lives. We encourage foster families to support and minister to the children’s birth families while they work to break destructive family cycles. For each child, the ministry opportunities stretch beyond one child to entire families and future generations.
