Arms of Love Foster Care's Supportive Housing Program offers a safe, functional home environment for 18 - 21 year old women aging out of foster care. Our goal is to support you as you grow and learn to become an independent adult.
Participants of Arms of Love Foster Care’s Supportive Housing Program must be female, 18 – 21 years of age, single with no dependents and substance and alcohol free.
Program at a Glance
Supportive housing
In the supportive housing program, you will live with other participants and a live-in Arms of Love RA. You will be required to participate in regular house community nights. In the home, you will have weekly household responsibilities. All participants will be expected to communicate with roommates, treat all housemates with respect as well as comply with requests of the support team.
Coaching
You will meet weekly with your Arms of Love Coach to set goals. You must be doing the steps agreed upon with your coach as well as showing growth and progress toward goals.
Life-skills training
You will attend monthly classes to equip each participant with life skills that will help you be a successful, independent adult.
Mentoring
You will meet with a mentor from our program weekly.
Counseling & Bible studies
Counseling and bible studies will be offered to those in the home setting and we highly encourage participation.
